An OEIC (Open Ended Investment Company) is similar to a unit trust, but benefits from a clearer charging structure (there is only one price for the fund) and often incurs lower charges.  It is particularly advantageous for investors who may wish to switch funds and this type of fund is the more common structure for European mutual funds.
